Cam wrth Gam was established in 2004 as a subsidiary of Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin. It is responsible for providing training through the medium of Welsh to support early years care and education.
Cam wrth Gam is responsible for delivering the Mudiad's National Training Schemes. The National Training Scheme is funded by Iaith Pawb Scheme, Welsh Assembly Government.
Cam wrth Gam achieves this through offering:
* NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) programmes
* Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin CACHE (Council for Awards in Childcare and Education) accredited Certificate and Diploma courses
* other CACHE accredited childcare courses
Support, including professional assessors, verifiers and tutors is provided for each candidate. This assists them to complete their qualification by the end of their study period. Support also includes a comprehensive range of early years resources in Welsh which can be used during work placements and electronic learning resources. There is also an opportunity for candidates to create CV's, and to display them on the website in order to link with providers who are looking for staff.
Cam wrth Gam uses innovative systems to provide the most effective service possible to candidates, for example holistic assessment and paper-free assessment and verification.
