The aim of the cylch Ti a Fi is to offer parents/carers an opportunity to enjoy playing with their children and socialise in an informal Welsh atmosphere.
The cylch Ti a Fi provides activities promoting the development of children from birth to school age. It is an opportunitiy for parents/carers to meet in an informal environment to share experiences and chat over a cuppa.
Attending the cylch Ti a Fi allows children to:
* enjoy playing
* sing and listen
* play with water
*...... and make friends!
Attending the cylch Ti a Fi is a great opportunity to use the Welsh language if a learner or fluent Welsh speaker. The cylch Ti a Fi activities will reinforce the use of Welsh language at home and gives non-Welsh speaking families the opportunity to use Welsh for the first time with their children.
The Welsh For The Family scheme has been developed to help non Welsh speaking parents to learn Welsh with their children. The scheme introduces simple Welsh stories, songs, nursery rhymes and expressions to use at home.
A number of cylchoedd Ti a Fi are associated with a cylch meithrin. The cylch Ti a Fi is managed by a committee of parents or volunteers. Currently there are over 500 cylchoedd Ti a Fi registered as members of Mudiad Meithrin
